AquaTru Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier Review

I love the idea of having pure water flowing from my tap, but do I want to go to the trouble of calling a plumber or tinkering with it myself? No. That’s why I’m such a fan of the Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier. It’s incredibly convenient and requires no special installation.
With a large container that holds 3 liters of water, it ensures that you always have fresh, clean water available for your whole family. Featuring AquaTru’s patented 4-stage ultra-reverse osmosis technology, it is NSF-certified and removes the following from your H2O:
- Fluoride
- Chlorine
- NFAs
- Toxic heavy metals
- Arsenic
- Nitrates
- and more
Conventional water filters do not remove all the substances on this list, nor do they last as long as these filters, which last from 6 months to 2 years. By comparison, normal water filters should be changed monthly or every 2 months at most, depending on water consumption. By the time your filter needs to be changed, you will have prevented 4,500 plastic bottles from ending up in the trash.
The Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier integrates easily into every kind of home. With a tech-forward Wi-Fi-enabled option, you can control your purifier via an app. Not the techy kind? Choose the Classic model for straightforward everyday use.
Your purifier normally comes with a Classic VOC Filter, but opt for the Alkaline Mineral Boost VOC Filter to ensure your water aligns with your pH and mineral goals.
If you’re considering an under-the-sink purification system but want something less costly and equally as effective, get the Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier for $449-$519.
Customer reviews: I am very impressed with the system; it is simple, fast, and works great. You can tell that it cleans the water of deposits from the return pipes. – Tristan, Amazon.com
3 Best Selling AquaTru Products
AquaTru Carafe Review

Countertop water filters are not optimized for today’s times, but neither are most AquaTru carafes. It has all the necessary filter functions inside, so you don’t have to rely on external pipes or installations.
The AquaTru Carafe uses a proprietary reverse osmosis water filter and is certified to remove up to 83 contaminants. These contaminants can not only harm your health, but also give the water an unpleasant grainy texture.
AquaTru’s multi-stage reverse osmosis process uses higher water pressure than traditional osmosis filters to remove contaminants. With other brands, filters tend to remove the good minerals from the water along with the bad ones. With the AquaTru carafe, the water is recirculated and there is a remineralization option to add these beneficial nutrients back in.
The result? The AquaTru carafe not only improves the taste of regular tap water, but also the mineral content and purity. It is also more environmentally friendly than buying bottled water.
Did I mention how easy it is to use? You can plug it into any outlet to begin the filtration process. The AquaTru Carafe can hold up to 64 ounces of water and the filters have a long life cycle. When it comes time to change the filter, the Carafe will tell you via its indicator light.
Changing the face of pure drinking water as we know it, the AquaTru Carafe costs $349.
Customers say: “AquaTrue is absolutely the best in every way—beautiful, elegant design, very compact, extremely easy to use, you notice the difference in water quality immediately, excellent customer service…and I could go on—highly recommended!”—Elena K., aquatruwater.com
AquaTru Classic Pre/ Carbon Filter Review\

I have mentioned filters several times in this AquaTru review, as they play a central role in the AquaTru carafe. It is worth taking a closer look at the AquaTru Classic Pre/Carbon Filter to see how it works.
What does it do? This filter can reduce the accumulation of contaminants in your drinking water. It can remove the following contaminants from your water:
- Sand
- Silt
- Sediment
- Rust
Since this is only a pre-filter, it is not responsible for the second half of the reverse osmosis process, which adds beneficial nutrients back to the water. However, this AquaTru water filter is responsible for improving the taste of the water.
This filter uses activated carbon to reduce the taste of chlorine, which makes tap water undrinkable for many people, including me. It also prepares the water for the upcoming reverse osmosis process.
The AquaTru Classic Pre/Carbon Filter should last up to six months or filter 600 gallons of water. AquaTru recommends replacing it once either of these criteria is met. You can purchase it for $20.
Customers say: “There’s not much to say except that this replacement works and is easy to install. Just make sure that after resetting and running three water cycles, you reset the filter button on the back before drinking the water. Drink the fourth glass.” – Sarah, amazon.com
AquaTru Carafe Replacement Tap Tank Review
You may be wondering where all the impurities go after the AquaTru carafe has purified your water. Straight into the AquaTru Carafe Replacement Tap Tank. This additional storage tank holds all the wastewater produced by the AquaTru carafe.
This tank is the overflow container for the filtration process. Essentially, after the AquaTru Carafe has purified the water, the AquaTru Carafe Replacement Tap Tank collects all the impurities so you can empty it or use it for other tasks that don’t require pristine water, such as washing laundry or mopping.
You should not need to replace the AquaTru Carafe Replacement Tap Tank, as the impurities it contains will not damage it. However, regular cleaning is recommended.
This product is available for $25.
Customers say: “The water tastes fantastic, as if it came straight from a spring. The ice from the ice cube trays tastes as if it were taken from a house during rain and snowfall. The fact that I am saving plastic bottles from the environment makes me feel like I am doing something incredible not only for myself but also for the planet. I love it so much that I bought one for my daughter and her fiancé. You won’t regret buying this product.” – Kcampbell, amazon.com

Who would I recommend AquaTru to?
Anyone who relies heavily on bottled water would benefit from the products I’ve written about in this AquaTru review.
The brand’s filters can significantly improve taste while reducing the environmental impact of water bottles. Given that many people choose water bottles because of their taste, this is an easy switch.
In addition, those who don’t drink enough water should check out the reverse osmosis filter in this AquaTru review, as it encourages you to drink more.
Seeing how much progress you’ve made with a water jug can help you drink more. Realistically, we all need to drink more water anyway.
Who I don’t recommend AquaTru for
Unless you already have another reverse osmosis water filter that you’re happy with, there’s no one I wouldn’t recommend this product to.
What Do Experts Think?
Most research into the reverse osmosis process comes from experts who work alongside companies that produce reverse osmosis filters. This makes it tough to decipher how honest their research is, though it’s nearly all positive. This goes for AquaTru as well.
